The neighbourhood

One Clanwilliam stands on the Grand Canal at Mount Street Bridge, where the Georgian city meets the canal. Merrion Square is a 10 minute walk, with the Government Buildings on Merrion Street just beyond, while St Stephen’s Green, Grafton Street and the National Concert Hall all sit within 20 minutes on foot.

From the main entrance, the towpath runs in both directions, west towards Portobello and east to Grand Canal Dock, serving equally as a cycle route, a running route or a lunchtime walk.

Transport is close at hand: Grand Canal Dock and Pearse Stations are under 10 minutes away on foot, the Green Line at Charlemont around a 15 minute walk, and bus corridors run along both Baggot Street and Northumberland Road. In time, MetroLink will place the airport a single connection from St Stephen’s Green.
